Recovery after a stroke is difficult, and for many may be a lifelong process. With rehabilitation, however, many stroke victims can restore their independence after improving their physical, mental and emotional functions.
Some stroke victims will begin their recovery in a short-term rehabilitation facility, followed by continued neuro rehab in an outpatient facility. Some may go straight home but require home care. Martha Jefferson Hospital offers a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Clinic that includes a full complement of neuro rehabilitation
treatments to help you regain your:
- Speech capabilities
- Memory and cognitive abilities
- Muscle, joint and nerve function
In addition, we will help you address your risk of future stroke and get back to a healthy lifestyle.
