¼ cup Italian dressing or oil &
vinegar to taste
¼ cup chopped fresh basil leaves
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cups cooked multigrain or whole
wheat pasta shells or rotini, rinsed in cold water and drained
1 (6-ounce) can tuna, packed in
water, drained and flaked
¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
¾ cup diced tomato
2 tablespoons chopped black olives
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1. Combine dressing, basil, garlic and
red pepper in small bowl.
pasta, tuna, tomato, onion and olives in large bowl. Add dressing and pepper;
toss until evenly coated.
serve, line 4 plates with lettuce leaves; spoon salad on top. Makes 4 servings.
