More than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors are alive today in the United States, according to the National Cancer Institute. The NCI notes that this year alone, 207,000 new cases will be diagnosed.
“The number of people affected by this disease is devastating, but diagnosis and treatments continue to improve,” Boshart-Yoder said. “For those who have survived, including myself, there is reason to celebrate. For those recently diagnosed, there is reason for hope, and for our community as a whole, there is more to learn.”
Visitors are asked to park in Lot A and enter the hospital through the main entrance. Signs for the reception will be posted.
