 Clinical psychologist Philip Wickline, PhD, has joined the staff of RMH Behavioral Health.
Dr. Wickline will offer psychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults at RMH and in the office by referral.
Examples of common referrals include issues related to overall cognitive functioning, memory impairment, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, complex differential diagnosis, readiness for invasive medical procedures, pain management and competency to make medical treatment decisions, said Andree Gitchell, MSW, LCSW, director, Behavioral Health.
Dr. Wickline completed his undergraduate studies in psychology at James Madison University and completed his master’s degree in clinical psychology at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from the University of Virginia clinical and school psychology doctoral program in 2009 and completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, Pa.
“I am looking forward to working with the medical staff at RMH to help integrate psychological testing and assessment into existing services to provide holistic treatment and patient care,” said Dr. Wickline.
Dr. Wickline has provided psychological assessment and psychotherapy services at RMH as a volunteer for the past year while working toward licensure as a clinical psychologist in Virginia. He has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient, inpatient, medical, and forensic settings.
