Free H1N1 Shots Still Available in March

11:34 AM
Contact: Debra Thompson
Director, RMH Corporate Communications
540-564-5886

RMH will offer free H1N1 and seasonal influenza immunizations to those who bring a non-perishable food donation for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Both flu vaccines are available to those ages six months and up at the RMH Flu Care Clinic, located at 51B Burgess Road (behind Shoney’s) in Harrisonburg.

The clinic will be open only for walk-in immunizations—not for care of flu symptoms—at the following times:
  • Every Tuesday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Every Thursday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Saturdays (March 6 and 13 only), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The immunizations will be available as long as the vaccine supply lasts. With several months of flu season left, it’s not too late to get immunized and have protection against H1N1 and the Seasonal Flu.

For a list of items needed by the Food Bank, go to www.brafb.org.
