Can I Be Checked for Ewing Sarcoma Before I Have Symptoms?

Girl lying in hospital bed
Unfortunately, there is no general screening test for Ewing sarcoma

Screening tests check for disease in people who don’t have any symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no general screening test to check for Ewing sarcoma.

An injury may make you aware of a lump or mass. The lump may have already existed, but the injury makes it more obvious. An injury cannot cause Ewing sarcoma.

Tell your doctor about any sort of abnormally growing lump or swelling. Also let your doctor know if you have a persistent sensation of warmth or pain in a limb, especially if it doesn't go away.
