The Virginia Funkhouser Health Sciences Library is affiliated with the biomedical information network, providing access to local, state, regional and national resource libraries. We are a member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine and offer full library information services.

Book Loaning Policy
Circulating books and audiovisual materials are available to be checked out. Reference books, magazines and journals must be used in the library. You are welcome to take any of the pamphlets or fact sheets of interest with you.
Upon your request we will gladly send information to those unable to visit the library.

Special Collections
The Patient/Family section offers a children’s grief collection, donated by the local chapter of The Compassionate Friends support group. These books help children understand and cope with death or loss.
Donations
The library and its staff appreciate all the support it receives. If you have publications you are no longer using, please know that we gladly accept donations or recent journals and books.
Location
The Virginia Funkhouser Health Sciences Library is conveniently located on the second floor of the West Tower, across from the RMH Outpatient Pharmacy and next to the Garden Café.
Parking
Patrons of the Virginia Funkhouser Health Sciences Library may park in the Maple Lot, located off Mason Street, across from the main hospital and next to the Outpatient Center.
