RMH Hahn Cancer Center
The incidence of cancer across the country is now decreasing according to the National Cancer Institute, but cancer cases in our community continue to rise. That’s because we have a growing and aging population and increased screening capabilities.
That’s also why the Sentara RMH Hahn Cancer Center is here to provide patients and their families with expert cancer care right here in our community. From chemotherapy to radiation, nutrition to counseling, rehabilitation to image recovery and much more ... the Cancer Center is devoted to enhancing and saving lives. And through our Home Health Care, we offer nursing, social work, and physical and occupational therapy directly to patients in their homes.
What’s more, the Cancer Center meets the standards for a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program established by the Commission on Cancer (CoC). Approval by the CoC is granted only to those programs that provide the best in cancer prevention, early diagnosis, staging, optimal treatment, rehabilitation, and surveillance for recurrent disease and support services.
In the past 12 months, donations to the Sentara RMH Hahn Cancer Center have helped provide everything from cutting edge digital mammography equipment that better detects breast cancer to wigs for patients who lose their hair during treatment.
Your donation to the Sentara RMH Hahn Cancer Center will provide life saving equipment, upgrades in technology to ensure a high standard of care, and training for staff to keep them informed about the latest treatment techniques.
