RMH is calling upon the talent of local artists as it begins art selection for the new hospital and health campus scheduled to open mid-2010.
According to the mission statement for the new hospital art selection committee, “RMH seeks to nurture an atmosphere of healing for patients, families and visitors at its new facility by selecting visual art that reflects the personality, culture and natural environment of the surrounding Shenandoah Valley.”
RMH anticipates selection of multidimensional, innovative pieces that will enliven the new campus and engage the public, noted Merv Webb, vice president, Foundation, and chairman of the art selection committee for the new hospital.
To accomplish this goal, RMH is working with The Ambiance Group of Nashville, Tenn. The Ambiance Group is an art services company specializing in art for healthcare, senior living and corporate environments. The company provides art consulting, framing and installation and has helped furnish artwork for hundreds of health care facilities across the U.S.
The Ambiance Group will help RMH to assemble a permanent art collection for its new facility. All artists are asked to deal directly with the Ambiance Group in submitting work for consideration.
