Carter and Connie Melton admire a painting
of the new RMH hospital and health campus,
presented to them at a March 30 retirement
reception at Spotswood Country Club. RMH
officials announced at the reception that the
grounds at the new hospital site will be named
after the Meltons.
RMH officials announced March 30 that the grounds for the new RMH hospital will be named in honor of recently retired President and CEO Carter Melton Jr. and his wife, Connie Graham Melton.
The announcement was made during a reception to honor Carter for 34 years of service to RMH and the greater healthcare community. Melton retired March 31.
RMH Board Chair Barbara Stoltzfus noted, "Naming the grounds for Carter and Connie is a fitting tribute to their love of the land and many years of involvement with local 4-H, gardening and agriculture. The natural beauty will serve as a reminder to their dedication to RMH and to the surrounding community."
The hospital under construction on the 254-acre health campus is slated for completion in mid-2010.
