Today, Halifax Regional Health System located in South Boston, Virginia announced its intent to merge with Sentara.

Halifax Regional Health System recognized the strategic value of partnering with another system, and examined leading healthcare organizations as possible partners over the last 18 months. After extensive review, Sentara was chosen. Both organizations share similar values and a not-for-profit mission for delivering high quality health care within the community.  Read more about the announcement.
