Becky Nicely, RRT, has been named director of Sentara RMH Imaging Services
Nicely has 15 years of experience in imaging services management. She has been employed with Sentara RMH since 2008, serving as diagnostic imaging manager until being named interim director of Imaging Services in June 2013.
From 1999 to 2008, she worked with Shenandoah Shared Hospital Services and was responsible for CT and MRI services at Sentara RMH and Augusta Health.
“I am excited about this new leadership opportunity,” she said. “I knew at an early age that helping others is what I wanted to do. Through my leadership role, I can continue to fulfill my passion of helping others by serving and equipping staff with the skills needed to do their jobs well as we strive to provide exceptional service to our patients.”
Nicely received a degree in radiologic technology from the University of Virginia School of Health Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Health Sciences from Adventist University of Health Sciences. She is a registered radiologic technologist and a registered mammography technologist. She is currently completing a master’s degree in management.
“As interim director, Becky maintained a strong working relationship with the radiologists and did a great job leading this important service,” said Richard Haushalter, Sentara RMH senior vice president and chief operating officer. “Becky’s participation in Sentara’s Leadership Advance program helped her further develop into this leadership role. She will be an outstanding leader, taking us into a new era of Imaging Services at Sentara RMH. ”
Nicely and her husband, Tim, live in Grottoes. They have a grown son, Austin.
