Three RMH Rehab
physical therapists have been granted specialist
certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties
Physical therapists Robin Shumway and Trey Haskell
have received orthopedic specialist certification (OSC). Physical
therapist Justin Layman has received sports specialist certification
“RMH Rehab Services’ goal is to provide exceptional
quality and compassionate care to our patients so they can return to the
activities they love,” said Adam Drumm, sports medicine program
manager. “These certifications support our goal to offer the most highly
trained clinicians to our patients and their referring physicians.”
ABPTS notes that certification is granted “when therapists have clearly
demonstrated their commitment to service by the variety, depth and
consistency of their professional involvement.” According to the ABPTS,
as of 2011, there were only 968 sports- certified specialists and 6,846
orthopedic-certified specialists in the United States.
