RMH offers a variety of support groups. Most are free; some have a small fee. The list below summarizes the groups offered. For your convenience, we have coded groups as follows:

AR = Advance registration required
NR = No advance registration required
FREE = No fee

ADHD Advocacy Group: monthly, second Tuesday, 6:30-8 p.m. Call 540-943-5383 for more information.
Advanced Disease Support Group (for those with recurrence of cancer or advanced disease): twice monthly, first and third Tuesdays, 10-11:30 a.m.
A.W.A.K.E. Sleep Apnea Support Group: meets quarterly, call RMH HealthSource at 800-433-4580 for dates.
Bariatric (LAP-BAND) Support Group: fourth Tuesday of the month 7-8:30 p.m. Call 540-689-5646 for more information.
Branching Out on a New Limb (for amputees): call 540-564-5799 for dates and times.
Breast Cancer Support Group: fourth Tuesday of the month, 5-6:30 p.m. Call RMH Healthsource for more information or to register.
CancerCare (for cancer patients and their families): first and third Wednesdays, 4 p.m.
Caregiver Chat: monthly, first Thursday, 9-10 a.m.
Choices Group (discussion of alcohol and substance use): weekly, one hour, call 564-5629 for more information.
Diabetes Support Group: monthly, second Monday, 7-8:30 p.m. RMH Medical Office Building conference rooms, park in Lot B.
Greater Shenandoah Valley Brain Injury Support Group: monthly, third Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. Call 289-7808 for more information.
Harrisonburg Epilepsy Support Group: monthly, third Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. Call 540-908-3400 for more information.
Leukemia and Lymphoma Support Group: monthly, first Thursday, 4-5 p.m. (does not meet during summer months)
Life Seekers (grief support for those who have worked through initial grief): monthly, first Thursday, 6 p.m.
Man to Man - Prostate Cancer Support Group: monthly, third Thursday of each month, 7 p.m., at the RMH Hahn Cancer Center conference room. For more information call the American Cancer Society at 540-434-3360.
New Moms Ask the Nurse: For moms with infants up to one year-old. Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30 p.m. RMH Atrium, room 131. NR
Parkinson’s Support Group: monthly, third Saturday, 1 p.m.
Pregnant and Parenting Teen Support Group: monthly, fourth Monday (except July and Dec.), 6:30-8 p.m.

Shenandoah Valley Organ and Tissue Transplant Support Group: every other month, second Thursday, 7 p.m.
The Mended Hearts Inc. (cardiac support group): twice monthly, first Wednesday, 3 p.m., and last Tuesday, 6-8 p.m.
