Several options are available to you to pay your bill:
- Pay at any of the clinics listed or at the clinic where you received your service
- Pay at RMH Physician Billing Services, 1790 64-B, East Market Street, Harrisonburg (Spotswood Valley Square), Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Pay at the RMH Cashier’s Office located at 2010 Health Campus Drive, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801.

Why did I receive more than one bill for one visit to the doctor?
The bill sent to you from RMH Physician Billing Services is usually fees for the physician who provided your care. Depending on where you received your care and what services were provided to you during your visit, you may also receive a bill for use of the facility. If you received lab work or an X-ray at your doctor’s office, you may be sent another bill from RMH or the radiologist for these tests.
Where can I locate my account number?
Your account number is displayed in the upper right-hand corner of your billing statement
Can I set up a payment plan for my bill?
Yes. Set up a payment plan by calling RMH Physician Billing Services, 800-481-8834.
Can I pay my bill with a credit card?
Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Does RMH have a financial assistance program?
Yes. You may obtain an application for financial assistance at any RMH clinic. You may complete your application at the clinic or mail it to RMH Physician Billing Services, PO Box 1430, Harrisonburg, VA 22803.
RMH Financial Assistance Program
Patients who are not eligible for any of the federal, state or local programs may be eligible for the RMH Financial Assistance Program. Note: You must apply for and follow through with an application for any federal, state or local assistance to be eligible for RMH Financial Assistance.
The program assists both uninsured and under-insured patients. In order to qualify, patients:
- Must have received medically necessary, urgent or emergent services;
- Must meet income and asset guidelines;
- Must have been screened for federal, state or local assistance;
- Must not have refused insurance coverage through their employers;
- Must complete a signed and witnessed financial assistance application and provide proof of income and assets.
Applications will be reviewed and patients who qualify will be awarded full or partial assistance with their hospital bills.RMH financial assistance can only be used for RMH hospital bills; however, patients who receive assistance should let their other healthcare providers know in case those providers have similar programs.
I don’t have insurance. Are there discount programs available?
If you do not have insurance you will receive a 20% discount if you pay for your office visit, in full, the day of your visit.
Does my doctor participate with my insurance?
The best way to find out if a doctor participates or is “in network” with your insurance is to call your insurance company. They will be able to tell you if a physician participates with your insurance company or they will be able to provide you with the name of a physician that does participate with your insurance.
