Beitzel, practiced OT for over 20 years with the Army Medical Specialist Corp during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring in the 1970's when I was looking at college and career. I learned a lot from her example of working with clients with many different types of disabilities. In my work, in NYC, Alexandria, VA, and now Harrisonburg, I have helped children to grandparents, stock brokers to farmers. I hope that they have learned as much from me as I have from then. My wife and I have the privilege of living in the country now, in a log cabin with gardens and goats. We enjoy the local bluegrass music, hymn sings, and sense of community here.

I was raised surrounded by three brothers. My upbringing emphasized faith, family and a good work ethic. I married a wonderful man from Waynesboro. He brought me out of the crazy North to the calm and beauty of the mountains. We have two beautiful girls and together, in our spare time, we work on our Christmas tree farm in Fishersville. I have worked for RMH for almost 25 years. I love to cook and be outdoors. I am blessed and grateful to live in such a great area with great people.
