IRB

Rockingham Memorial Hospital’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a multi-disciplinary committee of the hospital, which is designed to assure that appropriate steps are taken to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of human research subjects recruited to participate in research.

The Institutional Review Board is designed to express local community attitudes and ethical standards when reviewing proposed investigations. The RMH IRB has a review process which conforms to the Federal Policy for Protection of Human Subjects, the regulatory codes 45CFR of the HHS and 21CFR 50, 56, 312, 314, of the FDA.
