RMH Community Health is committed to building a healthier community in ways that are meaningful and measurable. Services provided include:

• The Hand-in-Hand Resource Mothers Program is a mentoring and case management program for pregnant and parenting teenagers.
• Community Health Education and Awareness provides leadership to collaborative community initiatives and seeks grant-funding opportunities to improve the safety and health of our community.
• Senior Advantage, a membership program for adults age 55 or better, designed to provide you with the tools necessary to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

• RMH Family Connection offers non-duplicated and coordinated parenting resources:
  • ChildCare Aware of Piedmont Virginia is a regional resource and referral service dedicated to enhancing the availability and quality of childcare in our area.
  • Healthy Families of the Blue Ridge provides home visits, resources and education on child development for first-time parents who are assessed as being “at risk.”
  • Parenting Education and Support (PEAS) provides parenting classes to help parents succeed.
  • Central Shenandoah Valley Family Collaboration (CSVFC) provides integrated activities and services for improved well-being, increased permanency and safety of children in, or at risk of, being placed in an out-of-home placement as a result of a parent’s or caretaker’s substance abuse.
