Catherine M. Hany has been named director of health information management at RMH.

Hany will be responsible for the management of electronic clinical records. This role will be increasingly important as RMH continues to improve the use of information technology to manage health records electronically at its current facility and at the new hospital, slated to open in mid-2010, noted Mike Rozmus, vice president, Information Services.

“Cathy has proven her skill in leading an organization that successfully implemented a paperless, electronic medical record and records imaging system,” said Rozmus. “We are pleased to have her bring this background and experience to RMH.”
 

Hany previously directed the HIM department at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health information management from Illinois State University and an associate’s degree in applied science from Lincoln College of Illinois. She is a certified health information management professional.

 

“I look forward to leading the HIM department in its transition to an electronic medical record,” she said.
