Director of RMH Rehab Services Honored by Virginia Physical Therapy Association
Gayle Garnett, director of RMH Rehab Services, recently received the Beb Cash Award from the Virginia Physical Therapy Association (VPTA) for her outstanding contributions to clinical practice.
The award is presented each year by the VPTA in memory of Bess “Beb” Cash, a 1951 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia and active VPTA member who died at age 40 as the result of an automobile accident. Any member may nominate another for consideration of this award.
Nominees for the award must be active members of VPTA and must have been elected to an office or chairmanship at the district or state level. Garnett is immediate past president of the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. She also has served VPTA in multiple capacities, including treasurer, chair of the Blue Ridge District and chair or active member of various other committees. Garnett has been employed by RMH since July 1991.
