Judith Trumbo, director of home and community health at RMH, has been selected to serve on a committee responsible for choosing the 2007 Daily News-Record Leadership Award winners. Each year, the $10,000 Leadership Awards are given to one senior each from Broadway, Spotswood, Turner Ashby and Harrisonburg high schools.
Serving with Trumbo on the DNR Leadership Award committee are: John Myers, chairman; Charlotte McNulty; John H. Kidd; Jeffrey G. Lenhart; Joanne Carr; and Ted Byrd.
“It is a privilege to serve on the committee,” she said. “I am extremely impressed with the caliber of the students who have been nominated. It speaks volumes to the quality of education and opportunities we have in our community.”
She noted that RMH President Jim Krauss served on the award committee in 2006.
Trumbo, a Broadway resident, has served as director of home and community health at RMH since 1988. She also serves on the boards of the United Way, the RMH Foundation, the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce and Generations Crossing.
