Building for a Second Century of Service
The projected cost of building the new hospital and health campus is approximately $280 million. Of this amount, just over $50 million will be provided from the sale of current hospital facilities to James Madison University.
The remaining portion will be financed through a combination of sources including:
- The sale of tax-exempt bonds;
- Generous philanthropic support from our entire community;
- On-going operating revenue; and
- Funds we have saved for future facility
growth.
